A Special Time at Recent Conference

Our recently held Diocesan MU Conference held at Stuarts Point Convention Centre 27 to 29 August was a wonderful success. With a mixture of educational and spiritually uplifting talks from our guest speaker, Bronwyn Fryar (Prayer & Spirituality Coordinator) to our attempts at Belly Dancing and trying to understand Christian Ray Music, all who attended agreed it was a refreshing break from the everyday routine of daily living.

The Executive wanted each and everyone who attended to feel especially loved and appreciated. Gift bags with lots of goodies were handed out to each guest as they arrived, with one member having made colourful woolen scarves to be included in each bag.

Sessions were well spaced to allow everyone to be able to wander in the beautiful grounds of the Centre and to share stories and relax without the rush of a bell to the next session.

Will any of our guests be taking up Belly Dancing as a hobby? Well, I don’t know, but I do know MU members in Grafton Diocese love to come together, share stories and have lots of fun and fellowship.
