Each year MU Australia has been able to respond to requests for assistance in times of fire, flood, and drought from the MU Disaster Relief Fund. Members have contributed to this fund to allow financial help to be sent quickly when it is most urgently needed.

Donations from this fund have been sent to Victoria to assist those affected by the Bush Fires. $3,000 was sent to each of the dioceses of Melbourne, Wangaratta, and Gippsland.

MU Australia Dioceses are asked, where possible, to make a donation to replenish this fund. Please send to the MU Australia Treasurer, clearly marked for "Disaster Relief Fund".
