MU WORKERS
Sydney MU supports Family Workers in a Parish. MU Workers are involved in contacting young families,
linking them into parish playgroups, Christianity Explained courses etc,
and supporting families in need. The Workers are paid for 10 hours a
week, and the finances are supplied from donations from our MU members.
BIBLE STUDIES 2008
Education Department Coordinator Barbara Dein has written a
series of four studies entitled "Jesus and Women of the New
Testament". Each of the four studies reflects upon the
different ways in which Jesus influenced the lives of two women during
his time on earth.
Copies of these studies are available for
purchase from the MU Sydney Shop at a cost of $5.00 each. A Leader's
Guide that includes the studies is also available for $5.00. (02
9267-8372 or office@musydney.org.au)
Copies
of early Bible Studies are available to download in pdf format from our
website.
GIFTS FOR PRISONERS’ FAMILIES
As usual, the response from all our members for this appeal at
the end of last year was overwhelming – so many lovely gifts, as well
as donations to enable other gifts to be bought. This is
always such a practical way of sharing Christ’s love to families in
need at Christmas. The Prisoners’ Aid Association values our help at
this time which can be a difficult one for many families.
