Diocese of Melbourne

MU Melbourne began in 1892 at the parish of Balaclava. Since then, groups of faithful women, and in more recent times men too, have worked tirelessly to encourage, strengthen and support marriage and family life in this Diocese and throughout the world wide Mothers' Union

The Mothers' Union is now serving families in 78 countries world wide and has a membership of over 3.8 million.

In our Diocese, we have 80 groups meeting as MU branches, Caritas groups, Anna groups and fellowship groups which meet regularly to pray, talk about our MU vision, and keep up our network of prayer and fellowship.
