MU Bathurst Diocese Annual Conference 2011

The 2011 Annual Conference was held in St Barnabas' Hall, West Wyalong on Saturday, 15th October. The theme for the Conference was Faith in Action - Living together in love and the guest speaker was Mrs Wendy Mayer, Education Officer of MU Australia.

The day began with Eucharist celebrated by the Parish Priest, Fr. Noel Staniforth followed by the morning session with Wendy leading a reflection on 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5.

A special candle was given to the members of the West Wyalong Group in memory of their dear member and our Diocesan Chaplain, the Reverend Dorothy Murrells.

Members travelled from Bathurst, Orange and Narromine and we were delighted to welcome Anne and Bevan Downing from Canberra to the Conference.

Following a delicious lunch prepared by the members of the West Wyalong Group Wendy showed those present how to make "Blessing Boxes". The hall was a hive of activity for the afternoon.
